digi cam memory card?
right, i have an Olympus M700 all weather camera,
i emptied my memory card by removing the card – plugging it into my laptop, making a new file on my PC dragging all the pics into it then deleting them off the memory card……
ok, i then put the memory card in my camera, i wanted 2 put the pics back onto the memory card, so i put the memory card back into my PC, used “auto play” “open folder to view files” clicked the DCIM folder and dragged all the pics back onto the card, NOW, the pics are on the memory card, but i cant view them on my camera… HELP seriously (not only that its my mothers and shes going mental)
It seems that you have not had the work flow of using digital cameras explained to you.
1) with a freshly formatted memory card, shoot your photos.
2) copy all the image files to the computer.
3) after you check to make sure all the image files were safely copied to your computer, format the card. Formatting the card assures that the next photos you take using that memory card, will not become corrupted.
Attempting to view image files copied back to a memory card is usually futile.
You can try using this process, but don’t get your hopes up.
If you hope to be able to view image files you put back on your card, you will need to be sure you do the following:
•preserve the exact file name.
•use the same folder name as when the camera stored the picture originally.
•make sure the EXIF data is preserved.
